A Guide to West Byfleet and Junction 10

Previously known as Ten Mile Junction, this shopping mall is located in Bukit Panjang at the intersection of Choa Chu Kang Road and Woodlands Road. This mall has been undergoing a series of improvements over the last few years, and will hopefully improve the shopping experience for motorists and residents alike. However, before it can be fully appreciated, it must be known a few things about the area. Let’s start with a quick history of Junction 10.

M27 Junction 10 Improvement scheme

The Cabinet of Hampshire County Council is due to consider a proposal for the M27 Junction 10 Improvement scheme, which involves a new underpass and three new slip roads in North Fareham. The scheme will also contribute to the development of a new garden village in Welborne. The Council has already made good progress in developing a scheme design and secured the backing of Highways England. However, a number of challenges remain for the scheme.

First of all, the project’s design must be approved by Highways England and Hampshire County Council’s Technical Approval teams. During this process, Hampshire County Council will require traffic modelling that will help the design team understand the impacts of the proposed scheme. A design review will also be required. This process will ensure that proposed mitigation measures are acceptable and that any proposed relaxations meet the necessary standards. Ultimately, the design review process will help identify which option is the most appropriate for the scheme.

M25 Junction 10 to A3 Wisley Interchange project

The latest delay to the M25 Junction 10-A3 Wisley Interchange project is due to environmental matters. The project requires special category land to build the new interchange. The decision has been delayed by six months. The construction press has suggested that the decision will leave Balfour Beatty hanging. The government says the delay is to allow for consultation. However, this is not clear from the latest announcement. Highways England has also delayed the project twice before.

The M25 Junction 10 to A3 Wisley interchange in Surrey is one of the busiest sections of the Strategic Road Network. Heavy congestion is reported here every day, causing queues. Currently, M25 junction 10 is inaccessible from Ockham Park and Painshill. The interchange is home to the highest recorded collision rate. The project will transform the hard shoulder into a running lane and emergency refuge areas.

Byfleet

West Byfleet is a community in Surrey, England. It is approximately 1.5 miles east of West Byfleet and one mile northwest of M25 Junction 10 / A3. Byfleet Station is a short walk away. The premises are available on a new lease directly from the landlord. Both parties are responsible for their own legal costs. Listed below are just a few of the features of West Byfleet.

The village is home to a Waitrose supermarket, which was built in 1989. The supermarket is one of 70 shops in the area. The Waitrose supermarket offers a wide range of goods and services, including all major joint stock banks. For those who prefer shopping in a large supermarket, West Byfleet is a great alternative. A vintage gift emporium and fashion shops have given the village a focus.

Cobham village

One of the proposed design plans for the A3 roundabout in Cobham village, Junction 10, connects with the M25. It would include the expansion of the A3 to four lanes, upgrades to access routes, and a new roundabout. Cobham also boasts a number of schools, including the renowned Cobham Mill. A Google Maps map shows the location of Cobham. To get a better idea of the area, click on the “map” link at the top of the article.

The village of Cobham has many old buildings and conservation areas, but is also experiencing pressures from housing development. There is a very active Residents Association, and an independent group, the Cobham Conservation and Heritage Trust. Residents rarely contest local elections, but independents occasionally stand in by-elections. In 1984, Mike King, a Liberal/Focus politician, was elected as a councillor in Cobham. The village is split into two wards – Cobham & Downside and Oxshott & Stoke d’Abernon ward. As of 2019, there are six councillors in the village, including councillor James Browne.

Painshill

The new A245 in Painshill is set to have three lanes of traffic, bringing it closer to the A3 motorway. The project is estimated to cost between PS100 million and PS250 million. The new route will also improve access to the area’s railway station. The decision on whether to build the new junction will be made by the Transport Secretary, Chris Grayling. However, heavy congestion at the junctions has already caused queues at Ockham Park and Wisley Interchange.

The decision on a new road at Painshill, Junction 10, on the M25 is currently on hold while environmental matters are considered. Meanwhile, the M25 anticlockwise exit slip at Junction J21A (Watword) will be closed for lane one and the hard shoulder between 19:00 and 19:15 on 12 August 2021. This work is expected to create a safer journey for motorists. This work will also improve the environment at the junction. The new road will also restore heathland and plant new woodland, making the area a greener place to be.

Welborne Garden Village

Welborne Garden Village is a planned township in Hampshire, England. It is the largest mixed-use development in Hampshire. It will feature up to 6,000 new homes, supporting around 13,800 new local residents. It will be built around Garden City principles, and is set to take twenty years to complete. The town was selected as the first of 14 Garden Communities. It will have easy access to the city, the Port of Southampton, the Hampshire Coast, and the Solent Enterprise Zone.

Construction of the Welborne development will include a new motorway underpass, three new slip roads, and a ‘all moves’ arrangement. The developers will also provide PS50 million towards the road scheme. The project will be delivered by Hampshire County Council and Buckland Development Limited. Construction is due to begin by 2023. This development is crucial to the local economy. Welborne will provide much-needed residential and commercial floorspace.
